Every year I have the honor of joining a team to set off a firework show for a community along the Columbia River. Every year it is amazing. This last year was no exception. As I get older I find I’m enjoying this event more and more. Not just because I can blow stuff up legally, but because this core group is like family to me. I grew up with the lead Pyrotechnic’s son. His father has acted like a secondary father for me (which I am eternally grateful to be able to have not just my parents but to have a second family that has treated me like their own), he was my scout master growing up, and an all around awesome person. I wanted to capture the day and did for the most part. I will say some of the moments I did not capture because I was too drawn in with interacting with the rest of the crew. I hope you enjoy.
